Loyd & Co. Acquires Majority Interest in Help With My Loan to Help Small Businesses
Loyd & Co. Team · December 2025 · Investment News
Loyd & Co. has acquired a majority interest in Help With My Loan, formalizing a partnership that has already facilitated more than $1 billion in lending originations — and pointing the platform squarely at America's small business capital gap.
The Transaction
Loyd & Co. has acquired a majority interest in Help With My Loan, the small-business lending and advisory platform with which the firm has partnered for years. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Help With My Loan will continue operating under its own name and leadership, now with the capital, technology, and credit infrastructure of the Loyd & Co. platform behind it.
For the firm, the transaction completes a progression that began as a partnership, deepened through shared originations, and ends — or rather begins — in ownership.
What Help With My Loan Does
Help With My Loan helps small businesses access the capital they need to grow — arranging SBA-guaranteed term debt, lines of credit, equipment and commercial financing, and structuring guidance for borrowers navigating programs that were built for them but not designed to be simple.
Its reputation was built on a discipline the industry calls advice and the rest of us call honesty: matching businesses to the right structure for how they actually operate, rather than the product that pays the highest commission. That discipline is the asset we acquired.
"The measure of this acquisition is not the size of the check. It is the number of Main Street businesses that get a fair answer, faster."
The Capital Gap It Addresses
American small businesses face more than a trillion dollars in unmet financing demand — a gap that has widened as bank consolidation pulled credit decisions away from the communities that need them. The businesses most likely to repay a well-structured loan remain the least likely to get one.
That gap is not a side market for this firm. It is the market the firm was assembled for: regulated banking rails to receive deposits, an intelligence layer to price risk in real time, and private-credit strategies to fund what banks leave behind.
How It Fits the Firm
With this acquisition, the firm's capital cycle gains its origination engine. Deposits gathered through Banking and originations arranged through Help With My Loan meet in Genysys OS, where live data prices each file; funded loans flow into the platform's credit strategies; and the businesses those loans help build become the wealth-management relationships of Genysys Wealth.
Each piece of that cycle already existed. The majority interest connects them — originations at the front of the flywheel rather than adjacent to it.
What It Means for Small Businesses
The promise to the borrower is concrete: faster answers, better pricing, and a single relationship that can carry a business from its first loan through the enterprise it becomes. The guidance-first model that built the firm's reputation does not change. It scales.
We measure this acquisition the way we measure the firm: not by the capital committed, but by the Main Street businesses that get a fair answer — faster — because it happened.
